ARE MY CARD DETAILS SAFE USING THE COTTAGE COOKS WEBSITE?
Yes! Cottage Cooks accepts card payments using the industry-leading Sagepay (formally Protx) card processing service. You may also choose to pay using your paypal account.
All of the data is encrypted and at no point do any of the Cottage Cooks team come into contact with your credit or debit card details.
CAN I PHONE IN MY ORDER?
Unfortunately we are no longer able to accept telephone orders. We want to provide the utmost security for your shopping experience and as such, it is preferable for your card details to be processed using the Sagepay or Paypal systems.
DO YOU ACCEPT CHEQUE PAYMENTS?
Yes we still do - cheques should be made payable to Cottage Cooks and sent to 39 Burrows Close, Southgate, Swansea, SA3 2AH. Goods will NOT be dispatched until the cheque has been received and cleared into our banking system - this takes 7-10 days.
ARE YOU GOING TO BOMBARD ME WITH SPAM E MAIL IF I SIGN UP FOR A COTTAGE COOKS ACCOUNT?
Absolutely not! We hate spam mail ourselves and really don't see the need for it. We will only e mail you special offers, a maximum of once per month. For all other site updates and news, you may wish to follow us on twitter, where we'll be posting instant updates of new products and "you really have to know this" news.
I NEED MY ORDER IN A HURRY - CAN YOU HELP?
Cottage Cooks offers a special delivery service on most days - if you place your order beofre 1300, it is guaranteed to get to you by 1300 the following day. If you place your order on a Friday, it is guaranteed for Monday delivery. A signature will be required upon recipt of the parcel so please make sure it's going to an address where somebody will be in to sign for it.
WHY DOES YOUR STANDARD DELIVERY METHOD NEED A SIGNATURE - I MIGHT NOT BE IN?
In the past, we have chosen to keep costs down by sending parcels by 1st Class Mail but unfortunately, a significant amount of parcels have gone missing. We feel it's better for all concerned if we can track where your order is - once your order has been sent, we'll update with the recorded or special delivery reference number so you can too.
THERE'S NOT AS MUCH STOCK OF AN ITEM AS I NEED - CAN YOU HELP?
If you need more of an item than we currently have in stock, we are able to place them on back order and get more in for you. This can take 2-3 weeks though.
I WANT TO SPEAK TO SOMEBODY BUT YOUR PHONE GOES THROUGH TO ANSWERPHONE!
The Cottage Cooks office is manned (or should that be wo-manned!) daily but as Dani, the boss, also has two children, two dogs, a rabbit and a husband to sort out, there may be times when there's nobody at the end of the phone. Added to which, Cottage Cooks is based in a truly beautiful part of the Gower, with dithering phone reception! The easiest and quickest way to get hold of us is via our contact page which sends an e mail to Dani's Blackberry. She'll then get back to you as soon as possible.
WHAT'S YOUR OPENING HOURS?
Strictly speaking, it's Monday - Friday 10.00-16.00 but with the joys of new technology and e mail on the go, we're pretty much around 24/7! The only exception to this is if we close for holidays, which we'll let you know about.
